Rooms With Impact is a staging and interior design firm owned and directed by Laurie Mattson.
Laurie understands the main reason someone buys a home is emotional. A staged home allows buyers to envision themselves in it.
Laurie is a national multi-award winning interior designer, stager, and Real Estate Staging Association (RESA®) Approved Instructor. She finds the most joy in seeing the transformation. The transformation is as much of a gift to her as it is to her clients. Winning awards along the way is a rewarding plus.
From conception through completion, Laurie and her team tailor each room specific to the client’s style and needs. From new construction interior design to home sale staging, Rooms with Impact creates unforgettable spaces.
Laurie calls Minnesota’s Twin Cities area home but also works on projects throughout the nation. Recent jobs have included residences in Minnesota, Maine, Florida, California, and private and resort condominiums in Baja Mexico. By integrating innovative and expressive design ideas, she has become one of the most sought-after interior designers, professional home stagers, and speakers in the local area and expanding market.
Whether styling spaces around a homeowner’s specific taste or “decorating for the masses” to sell a home, Laurie transforms rooms from plain and random into jaw-dropping extraordinary masterpieces

Why Choose Rooms With Impact?
I wanted to share with you how cystic fibrosis touched my life and why I wholeheartedly support the Cystic Fibrosis community, specifically through the Breathe Easy Foundation.
You see, my family and I lost my two dear sisters to this horrible disease before they reached the tender age of 16. Even after all these years, the memory of their loss remains. I determined I would find an organization who is dedicated to being part of eradicating this disease allowing all of us to put this behind us.
If you are not aware, cystic fibrosis is a chronic, progressive genetic disease that adversely affects the respiratory and digestive systems in children and young adults. It is not an easy road for those who suffer from it nor their families. Unfortunately, those with cystic fibrosis may not see their 30th birthday, as was the case with my sisters.
I’ve found solace in their passing through my association with the Breathe Easy Foundation. They are a dedicated group of individuals whose sole purpose is to help families pay for the medical, nutritional and emergency assistance that oftentimes occurs due to the complications of cystic fibrosis.
I invite you to join me by supporting this wonderful organization. Your donation, no matter how small, will allow all of us to join together to support those who are facing this unimaginable battle.
"I've worked with Laurie for several years with a multitude of clients. She does a great job at taking the time to thoroughly go through several options with her clients and offer cost-effective solutions to get homes looking as perfect as possible."
"We had a great experience with Laurie the first time around and asked us to help us when we took on redoing our kitchen and updating the color palette of the house. The first time around she came up with some very creative designs for our master bedroom bathroom remodel. She is very easy to work with and doesn't hesitate to provide a variety of options that you may not have thought of or imagined would work together. We would work with her again!"
